I’ve been in the field of mental health for more than 20 years and I’ve worked with a lot of people. Over the years, I’ve had people tell me that I saved their life. An overwhelming majority of the people who have told me that identify as gay, non-binary, or trans. This is not a political or religious post. This is not a post about me. This is a human post - a post about love and affirmation. This is a post about saving lives.
